Student Registration Period & Standard Term Dates

The dates above are the University of Greenwich’s standard term dates. That said, the university permits programmes to start and registrations to be completed outside of these dates. If you’re studying outside the standard term dates, seek guidance from your programme leader or appropriate Faculty/departmental office.

Student registration typically happens during Welcome Week. Make sure you complete yours on time to avoid delays.

Postgraduate & Research Student Dates

Postgraduate students follow a slightly different rhythm.

  • Taught Master programmes: Study throughout a twelve-month academic year to prepare for final assessment.
  • Postgraduate Research Students: Required to be in constant engagement with their programme, apart from periods of leave agreed with their supervisor(s).

If you’re a postgraduate student, your Summer Term runs longer — until early July rather than early June.
